Introduction to Focus on Women
Most
fitness and sports sites are somewhat male orientated. That's
because interest in sports is sometimes seen to be more of
a guy thing. This view however, is pitifully outdated. Women
are into exercise and sports just as much as men and should
have an equal presence.
After
saying this I have to admit that I had to be reminded to increase
the female content of the MetabolicDiet.com and CoachSOS.com nutrition sites.
Those working with me felt that I just wasn't providing enough
content specific to women. On thinking about it my initial
reaction was that maybe they're right. But in fact most of
what I say on the nutrition site applies to both men and women.
Sure there are certain concerns that are women specific, such
as the effects of diet and nutritional supplements on menstrual
periods and cramps, bone mass, PMS, and a host of other concerns
that are definitely outside the male domain. And we will be
covering all of these and more.

However,
as much as men and women have some differences in their response
to various nutrients, there are even more similarities. For
example, both women and men will benefit from my Metabolic Diet
and from our APT Nutritional Supplement line. The fact is that
most of the cutting edge information on diet and nutritional
supplements apply just as well to both men and women.
No nonsense here
On this site, whether you're a man or a woman, you're not
going to hear the kind of hype and nonsense that you find
on many of the other exercise and nutrition sites. You're
not going to read that on this site we are going to help you
actualize your psychic destiny. We're not going to tell you
that by reading our information and following our nutrition
and diet recommendations you will become all that you always
hoped you would be - rich, famous, and live forever.
That's
just bull so that the shysters can thicken their wallets by
playing on your ego. You won't see any of that here. We'll
give you the facts, peppered of course with my opinions and
comments. And I'll make sure there's plenty of content for
our women subscribers and customers.

As
well, when we cover the various nutritional supplements I'll
mention whether or not the various compounds are effective
for both men and women. Creatine, for example, while almost
universally effective for male athletes doesn't seem to give
as much of a punch for female athletes. More on that later.
We'll
keep in mind that some women may be intimidated with what
appears to be a male dominated site and take that into account
when planning the structure and content of this site. Also
since women in general weigh less than their male counterparts
we'll keep this in mind when suggesting various amounts and
dosages of foods and nutritional supplements.
We
need your feedback
You should feel welcome on this site and you should find plenty
of useful and pertinent information no matter what your involvement
with sports and nutrition is. If you don't I want to hear
about it. I need your feedback
to make sure that we have the content you want and need and
that this site is user friendly to both men and women.
