What
to do if you're feeling tired
While some people will do well in either the Assessment
Phase or the Moderate Carb Phase, others will feel tired
or just out of sorts at times or even all the time.
There are three basic problems that people run into
and three solutions that can be used to get you to your
optimum carb level and feel good.
Mid
to Late Week Tiredness
| If
you are tired, then up the carbs in your diet.
Your carbohydrate set point is unique to you.

If
you’re feeling somewhat peaked during the latter part
of the week then a mid week carb spike will likely be
the best way to go. By treating Wednesday just like the
weekend you can usually get back in the pink and not have
any downtime all week.
Just
Can't Get Through Your Workout
If
you’re feeling tired while you’re training and just can’t
get through the workouts without pushing yourself past
the fatigue then you need to take carbs both before and
after training. By taking up to 100 grams of carbs before
training and up to 100 grams after training you should
be able to get through your workout with flying colors.
Tiredness
All Week Long
f you’re tired and/or out of sorts all week
long, then you need to increase your carbs across the
board. By taking in an extra 30 carbs per day from Monday
to Friday on each successive week, you will be able to
work up to a level of carbs that’s just right for you.
It may not be right the first week or even the second,
but by increasing your carb level by 30 grams every week
it won’t be long until you find your optimal carb level.
